Frequently Asked Questions
About being a UXer
  • What does being a UXer mean?

A UXer is a person who helps us improve Internet by having a MedUX HOME (DUX) connected at home.

  • How does MedUX HOME (DUX) work?

A DUX is a small device that sits next to your home router and tests your Wi-Fi and Ethernet connection quality. All it requires is a connection to your router, so it can send the tests results back to MedUX.

  • What about my privacy?

Your privacy is absolutely guaranteed. The DUX cannot access your personal data, it just acts like a new device on your network. We fully follow the data protection regulations - we take that very seriously!

  • Where can I find the information we requested (provider, type of Internet connection, speed)?

You can find these details on your Internet invoice. There you can find your Internet provider and the commercial pack you have contracted which specifies your Internet connection and speed.

  • Why becoming a UXer?

You will become part of a big community of people like you, who want to make Internet better! You will be helping us evaluate the quality of the Internet! Besides, you will receive a reward for the time you have the device connected.

I haven’t applied to join MedUX project.

We are sorry to hear you have received a MedUX HOME device not having applied to join MedUX UXers program. Please contact us in uxers@medux.com so we can proceed with the pick-up of the device.

In case you would like to join our project anyway, please contact us, so we can give you specific info about the terms and conditions, and you can join our MedUX Community and become a UXer!

This is our website, where you can find a lot of info about the project and, if you want to, apply yourself again to join us. We hope to see you soon!

  • Can I recommend a friend being a UXer?

Yes! Definitely! We are happy to welcome your friends to our UXer Community. They must go through the UXer Validation process. You can refer them to contact us in uxers@medux.com.

About the DUX
  • Why do I have to share my Wi-Fi Password?

The MedUX HOME device tests your Internet connection in both Wi-Fi and Ethernet technologies. Once the DUX is connected to the Ethernet, it can test this connection, but if the DUX isn't connected to Wi-Fi, MedUX cannot test the Wi-Fi Customer Experience.

  • Will I notice any internet connection damage?

You won't notice any connection damage. In the unlikely event that you notice some malfunction. Please, don’t hesitate to contact us in uxers@medux.com and we will gladly help you.

  • What kind of tests does MedUX HOME run?

MedUX HOME is a device that simulates a user to test the Quality of the Service provided by your telecom operator in both Wi-Fi and Ethernet. For it, we need to run simple tests like web browsing to check web loading time, speed tests to compare the speed received to the subscribed, or YouTube tests to check the video's loading time. We can never see what you are doing in your network. We are 100% GDPR Compliant!

  • Can MedUX HOME access to the online content I browse?

No, MedUX HOME is unable to access any of your personal data. We take privacy very seriously! MedUX HOME simulates a user and it is like when a friend comes to your place and you give them your Wi-Fi password, you can never see what they are browsing, so neither can we.
